recently i've been getting the results of my assignments and the range is unfortunately from average to bad. =(
for a couple of modules, i'd expected to do better and i didn't. i suppose, thats what always happens.. le sigh. so i've kinda resolved that if i get average score for not putting as much effort, and i get crap results for something i put so much effort in, i might as well play more.
wanted to write in to the course coordinator to complain about the tutor also.. but sigh.. my resolve ain't strong.
on a lighter note, i'm planning to go melbourne after finals and tickets are booked! stay tuned...
its suppose to be spring but cometimes i seriously feels like its summer already. days can be sooo hot. and apparently, when its summer, its just gonna get worse. ahh....
yesterday was quite a nice day. aside from the fact that i ticked chew off forgetting that it was his birthday.. well, i didn't mean to tick him off on his birthday, but he was SO getting on my nerves with his whislting. not that i hate people whistling, but his whistling is just not nice to hear. thus so hard to bear.
so anyways, at westend market whilst going on with our weekly grocery shopping with ash and jx, i was rather attracted to a bouquet of pink roses.. the whole bouquet was like $14 auzzie.. so i asked the price of a single stalk and to my surprise, the uncle gave me 2 stalks free! so happy =D
then in the evening my dear character in auditionsea finally havea couple and we got 16 hearts in the song! Best record XD
well, that aside... gonna set a new resolution to read the bible 15mins a day. read my textbook 15mins a day. sounds easy enough eh? ha... i hope so too!

i think i suck. after watching ima ai ni yukimasu, i feel anguish. wish life was that simple. wish i could be like that. wish the world just evolved around me. wish.. i could die young and peacefully.
haven't been able to study today. have got tons to do really. i don't wanna leave them to the last minute but i can't really help it. love school life. all i need to do is just study.. i don't wanna think about work. don't wanna think about relationships or think about life. just enjoy the moment as it is.
please let the weekends last longer... i don't want them to end.
finally, i tried to set my mind on uploading the pics of ekka (in aug), riverfest and the latest trip to byron bay! it is.. really quite a chore!!

next we went to the.. vegetable exhibition
love the bottles at the side.. the colours were really nice in real life.
butterflies and flowers made of fruits. the wings can actually flap too! and i don't know what the snail was made of, but yea.. there was a snail.
the heaviest pumkin at 20.65kg! actually, i was looking forward to seeing more humongous vegetables.. kinda disappointed in that aspect.

then we headed to the theme park section. oh ya, if i haven't mention, ekka is like this huge... festival kinda event i guess. every state in australia has one and the names are different but its quite a big thing that lasts for about a week. PLUS! one of those days during ekka week is a public holiday =D

doesn't this look more challenging? the ride name is called INSANITY. trust me, it goes really much higher than it looks.
and of the whole group of us, only me and haresh went for the ride. ash took a before and after pic. i was really quite shaken so naturally the pic is not gonna be uploaded here -_-. i couldn't stop screaming and the view was totally fabulous. its a once in a lifetime kinda ride man.. so no regrets =)
and thats all fr the ekka pixs.. though we stayed till evening.. watched the horse-riding games between states and there were loads of fireworks, my camera had already died of low batt.
and on 1st september, it was riverfest!! though i'm not sure if the festival spreads over a few days.. i only know that on 1st sep night, a big section of the brisbane river will be lighted with fireworks that lasts for like 30mins! its shot from the river and even on the rooftop of the city buildings with syncro music! thus as expected, the crowd that turned up was really big. the traffic after the event was so big i think it took us another 30mins flow with the crowd and get to the bus stop.

i tried to take pics of the fireworks... but unfortunately it was quite a failure. my cam is louya. i wanna get a casio or sony digi-camera!!!
anyways, back to the latest travel trip during my one week term break, me ash, grace, jun xian, jasmine and tze yong went to byron bay at new south wales. it was a pretty long 3hr coach ride and we left early morning on 27th sept in hope to reach there by afternoon for some snorkling.
on that, we were super super lucky. 1st lucky event was the turn of weather. it was super suay when i found out that on the day we were scheduled to go, bryon bay might have showers.. which i believe there might have been a drizzle in the morning, but it was bright sunshine by the time we got there! 2nd lucky event, was on the motor boat out to sea, we saw WHALES! it did a tail splash and backflip which is just.. so.... totally cool!!!! 1st time to see it real life and out in the wild! and its not like we paid for a whale watching expedition.. hee hee
no pics on that cos if my cam got wet.. its as good as gone. wouldn't wanna do that.. though its not very good, its still functional mah.. so we continued on to julian rocks to snorkle and while in the water, i saw sharks, big sting-rays and a sea turtle! really good trip considering these are things i'd only thought i'd be able to see if i went diving. speaking of which... PADI haven't mailed me my card as proof that i'm a licensed open water diver... sheesh.
well, byron bay is supposedly famous for the sunrise too.. and next morning, we woke up at like 4am to set out to climb the... hill.
